The Bible – We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired, infallible Word of God without error in its original writings. The Bible is the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of men and is the supreme and final authority in every area of faith and life.
The Godhead – We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, each having precisely the same attributes, nature and perfections and worthy of the same worship and obedience.
God the Father - We believe God the Father orders and disposes all things according to His own purpose and grace. He is sovereign in creation, providence and redemption. He has graciously chosen from eternity past those whom He would have as His own.
Jesus Christ the Son - We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was eternally begotten by God the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe that He is impeccable and unchanging. We believe that Jesus died for our sins as the only sufficient, substitutionary sacrifice; that He was crucified, buried and raised from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest, Advocate and Mediator. We also believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ for His Church.
The Holy Spirit - We believe the Holy spirit came as promised by the Son to initiate and complete the building of the Body of Christ. His activity includes: convicting the world of sin, righteousness and judgment; glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ and transforming believers into His image; He is the sovereign agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ. He indwells, sanctifies, instructs, and empowers them for service. He is the sovereign giver of spiritual gifts to every believer for the perfecting of the saints for the building up of the Body of Christ.
Man –We believe that man (male and female) was created in the image of God. However, he sinned thereby severing fellowship with God and incurring God’s enmity, wrath and a curse on all creation. All human beings are born with a sinful nature, are sinners by choice are totally depraved and need to be born again.
Salvation—We believe that salvation is a gift from God, by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Salvation cannot be earned or maintained by good works. Salvation is a relationship with Jesus Christ whereby a person accepts by faith the work of Christ as sufficient payment for his sins and submits to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Those entering this relationship by faith are born again, justified, and become children of God. They are indwelt, placed into the body of Christ, and sealed by the Holy Spirit and are so secured unto the day of redemption.
The Church—We believe the Church universal began on the day of Pentecost and is thus a unique spiritual organism made up of all born again believers. The purpose of the Church is to fulfill the Great Commission, thus glorifying God. We believe in the autonomy of the local church with a right to self-government by a plurality of Biblically qualified elders, under Christ and over the congregation as servant leaders.
The Ordinances—We believe there are only two ordinances to be observed by the Church: Believer’s Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Neither ordinance is a means of earning or maintaining salvation.
The Future – We believe in that “blessed hope” the historical, premillenial, personal, bodily and imminent return of Jesus Christ. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, in the reward and everlasting conscious blessedness of the just, and in the judgment and everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
